After completing her Bachelor's Degree in Visual Art and Design at the Eastern Institute of Technology in 2004, Caroline pursued a career as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, working mostly within the advertising industry.
In 2022, Caroline returned to painting more seriously, setting up a home studio and splitting time between working as a graphic designer and painting.
Caroline's work explores candid, everyday scenes of people and contemporary New Zealand life. She is influenced by the works from the old masters to the impressionists. She paints in a realistic style with a bold use of colour.
